To join Novos you will first need to setup a Swim Central account. Swim Central can be accessed here.

If you have never belonged to a Swimming Club in NSW, instructions on how to become a member can be found here.  You will register in Swim Central first as the “guardian” and then you will add your swimmers to your family group by adding them as “dependents” if they are under the age of 18.  Once you are registered you will need to purchase membership packages.

New season memberships will be available from early September 2026.

  1. Full Swimmer

For the more serious swimmer wanting to take swimming further and compete against other Clubs and earn times for Area and State meets.  This membership allows the swimmer to compete at any official Meet, earning qualifying times along the way which can open the doors to multiple other Meets, including Club, Area, State or National.

  1. Club-Only Swimmer

Ideal for competition swimmers who want to take it a step further than School Swimming. Can be upgraded to Full membership at any time throughout the season.  This membership allows the swimmer to compete at any meets run by our Club.

The Novos run Club Nights on Fridays at 630pm every fortnight with entries via the Swim Club Connect App. We also run Winter and Summer Championship Meets twice per year.

  1. Club Supporter

This product is for non-swimmer coaches, officials, parents and any other members who wish to remain dry.

Please Note: To be eligible to vote in your club’s AGM and/or nominate for a position on the Novocastrian Swimming Club Committee, you must purchase Club Supporter Membership by the 31st of October, of that season.

  1. Second-Claim Membership

Second Claim membership is for swimmers who already have a full swimmer membership at another club but want to compete at Novo Club nights.

Yes! The minimum age is 4. We have specific events for younger swimmers 8 and under where floaties & swim aids are allowed including in pool assistance from older swimmers/parents.

Club nights are run by volunteers, and we require parents to assist on the night with timekeeping, marshalling, and other roles as required.

Club Nights are on Fridays at 615pm with entries via the Swim Club Connect App. We have 3 events that swimmers can enter each club night with 1 event per stroke. Click here for how to install Swim Club Connect.

Club nights are usually fortnightly but are adjusted to accommodate swim meets/holidays/club events etc. A notification is sent in the app when nominations are open for each Club Night. Kid’s times are tracked in the Swim Club Connect app (great for giving kids the incentive to keep improving).

Novos Swim Club use Stack Team App for Calendar of club events, Chat platform to ask questions or disseminate information, Timekeeping rosters for carnivals, link to other club social media sites, general information about events, and other club matters. There are posters at the pool with a QR code that you can scan to install this app once you have purchased a paid membership.

A FUN winter championship is held at the end of winter season (usually September). This is a teams based, team building, fun event.

The SUMMER club championships are held at the end of the summer season (usually April) and are run just like a competitive meet with marshalling, meet director and technical officials. Swimmers can enter their chosen events via Swim Club Connect. Swimmers must have swum a minimum of 15 events throughout the summer season AND a parent must have volunteered at least twice, to be eligible for major awards. A presentation night is held about 6 weeks later to celebrate all swimmers. However, we do acknowledge AGE Champions; overall most improved junior and senior swimmer; as well as most improved in each stroke.

Swim meets are held ALL YEAR. Short Course (SC) 25m pools; and Long Course (LC) 50m pools. Various swim clubs across the region (and beyond) host development, open and qualifying carnivals. Swim times recorded at these meets enable participants to qualify for CVSA, country, state and national titles if they meet the qualifying times. Entry costs are based on per event/swim and vary. If you enter a child to swim, you MUST time keep (as requested by the host club).

You can send an email to registrar@novoswimclub.com.au for further assistance with your membership needs.
